As I continue to grow and share my journey it’s only right that I give a proper introduction to my readers that accompany me on this fantastic voyage we call life. Hello! My name is Nicole Denise. I am a mother, blogger, recidivism activist, cycle fanatic, and a tech newbie.
A Few Facts About me
Being a Mother hands down is my favorite role. There’s nothing more beautiful on this planet than to see a human being that you create that has your features and have inherited every amazing aspect of yours and your ancestors. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Blogging is my jam! I have been expressing myself through writing since primary school. It has always been my escape from reality and a tool to record my feelings, self-expression, and storytelling. This is why I created ReachTeachandInspire.com
Recidivism Activist, what is that? Prison reform and public policy became extremely interesting during my time in grad school. Learning the history of the prison system and knowing how it affects black and brown people; especially black men gravitated me to learn more about the issue. Knowing that there are thousands of children growing up without their fathers due to mass incarceration didn’t sit right with me. After tedious hours of research and completing my capstone, my mission is to help end recidivism. What is recidivism? The tendency of a convicted criminal to re-offend. A Cycle Fanatic was created during the summer of 2020. Prior I started taking a few indoor cycling classes because I really wanted a Peloton,but I needed to make sure it would be something I stick to. I fell in love with indoor cycling. I had finally found a workout that didn’t feel like a struggle and that I actually enjoyed. The rest is history! Let’s ride :NicoleDenise RTI
Tech Newbie is a recent journey I started in Sep 2021. It has been extremely exciting and rewarding. I have added a ton of skills and tools to my career toolbox. Some that I am implementing right now in my current position. My end goal is to become a Business Process Analyst to help improve workflows, processes, and automation all with the support of data analysis. I think this will match up well with my new technical writing skills so I can create SOP’s (standard operating procedures) and process documentation.
